HandH Whiteway Grill & Country Store
What We Are
Whiteway Grill has been around for years, though Tammy Hoag and Rich Hull bought it from her parents in 2023 and added "H and H" to the name.
Located on Highway 19E about two miles northwest of Roan Mountain, the grill is a great place to stop on your way to "town" or coming and going from the slopes a few miles down the road in North Carolina.
Tammy and Rich have also added a country store on the property that carries gift items, regional art and basic groceries.
Future plans include some interior renovations to the grill, more menu options, expanding the merchandise selection in the store, and some fun events such as live music and guest appearances!
What we do
We do food. If you love diners, homestyle cooking, or traditional favorites like biscuits and gravy or bacon cheeseburgers, we've got you covered!
Breakfast is available all day, and we run daily specials, such as Fish Fryday. Check our Facebook page for daily specials and take a look at our menu. Eat in, or carry out!
Who We Are
Tammy was born and raised in Roan Mountain before moving to Maryland as a young adult. There she worked as a paramedic for over 20 years. Rich [need info here].
The couple moved back to Roan Mountain to take over Whiteway from Tammy's family and haven't looked back.
